Mental Health First Aid - November 6 and 7, 2024

The Mental Health First Aid Standard course will help you learn how to recognize signs that a person may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being or a mental health crisis and encourage that person to:

  • Talk about declines in their mental well-being
  • Discuss professional and other supports that could help with recovery to improved mental well-being
  • Reach out to these supports
  • Assist in a mental health or substance use crisis

Mental Health First Aid Standard consists of one 2-hour self-directed module and two 4 hour live virtual sessions via Zoom.

Module 1: Independent Study Module and review of the digital Participant Reference Manual - approximately 2 hours - due November 1, 2024

Modules 2 and 3: Via Zoom - two 4-hour live sessions - November 6 and 7, 2024 from 9:30am - 2:30pm. There will be a one hour lunch break. 

Please note that you are required to:

  • Complete Module 1 in order to participate in Modules 2 and 3.
  • Be present for the entire course in order to receive a certificate.

There is limited space available for this training. Registration closes on October 13, 2024

Registrants will receive an email with details to access and complete the self-directed module, along with your Participant Reference Guide and course materials, on October 14, 2024.
