Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), is a 12-hour evidence-based training, provides the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to support a person who may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being, a mental health or substance use crisis until professional help is available.
The practical skills of MHFA help you to develop the confidence and peace of mind knowing you can support those around you, and your ability to self-care and prioritize your well-being while supporting others.
This course will be offered virtually on Zoom, Wednesday April 15th and April 22nd from 9:00am to 4:00pm both days, including a one-hour lunch break.
You are required to have:
- a computer with a webcam/camera & microphone
- access to Zoom
- regularly monitored email

This is an educational session where participants will learn to notice and respond to mental health conditions and crisis situations where thoughts of suicide might be present. It is not recommended for participants who are currently in crisis, have recently experienced a loss or who have been experiencing thoughts of suicide. Cancellation Policy
In the event of a cancellation, CMHA WW will try to offer alternative dates for up to 1 year from the date of your cancelled session. If no date can be found, then CMHA WW will provide a refund by cheque to the registered name and address.
Cancellation by the participant less than 48 hours in advance will result in the full fee of the session being charged.
